Window Antenna Repair

ELEMENT CHECK

  1. 1
    Attach probe circuit tester (in ohm range) to antenna terminal on each side.
    Ohmmeter probes attached to antenna terminals on each side of window element — continuity check setup

    If an element is broken, no continuity will exist.
    Ohmmeter showing no continuity — breakpoint indicated on element, probes on each side of break

  3. 3
    To locate broken point, move probe to left and right along element to determine point where tester needle swings abruptly.
