Rear-wiper sweep adjustment + pivot cleanup
- 1Verify rear-wiper sweep with the dimensions given (*1–*4 mm/in) and clearance L1 to glass end / black print end.
- 2Before reinstalling wiper arm, clean up the pivot area as illustrated. This will reduce possibility of wiper arm looseness.
Washer nozzle adjustment
- 1Adjust washer nozzle with suitable tool as shown in the figure at left. Details of tool are shown below: adjusting hole 0.9 sq × 1.0 (0.035 × 0.039 in); L-type wrench 1.5 × 1.5 (0.059 × 0.059 in), 0.85 (0.0335 in) jaw.
Wiper Amplifier Check
Wiper amplifier — bench check
- 1Connect as shown in the figure at left.
- 2If test lamp comes on when connected to terminal 6 and battery ground, wiper relay is normal.
