INSPECTION START

A — CHECK POWER SOURCE.
1) Turn ignition switch "ON".
2) Check voltage between terminal A and ground.
Battery voltage should exist.

Check the following items.

1) Harness continuity between battery terminal and combination meter
2) Ignition relay
3) Fusible link and fuse
4) Ignition switch
O.K.

B — CHECK GAUGE OPERATION.
1) Turn ignition switch "ON".
2) Connect terminals B (Fuel), B (Temp.) and ground with wire for less than 10 seconds.
3) Check operation of gauge.
Gauge should move smoothly to full scale.

Repair or replace gauge.

C — Check harness continuity between component and combination meters C (Fuel), C (Temp.).
N.G.
Repair or replace.

CHECK COMPONENT.
Check gauge units and harness.
Refer to "Fuel Tank Gauge Unit Check" or "Thermal Transmitter Check".

Repair or replace.
