NOTE
Power antenna is mounted on the right rear quarter; coax (feeder cable) routes forward to the radio with a sub-feeder cable and a drain tube to the underside.
Antenna Rod Replacement
REMOVAL
Antenna rod removal
- 1Remove antenna nut and antenna base.
- 2Withdraw antenna rod while raising it by operating antenna motor.
INSTALLATION
Antenna rod installation
- 1Lower antenna rod by operating antenna motor.
- 2Insert gear section of antenna rope into place with it facing toward antenna motor.
- 3As soon as antenna rope is wound on antenna motor, stop antenna motor. Insert antenna rod lower end into antenna motor pipe.
- 4Retract antenna rod completely by operating antenna motor.
- 5Install antenna nut and base.
