L.H. model and R.H. model have different check connector locations for tachometer connection. A/T idle speed measured in 'N' position. M/T and A/T both 850 ± 50 rpm.

METHOD A (With pulse type tachometer)

    Clamp loop wire as shown.
    Engine bay showing loop wire clamped for pulse-type tachometer (Method A)

METHOD B (With voltage type tachometer)

    Disconnect check connector for tachometer.
    L.H. model: use check connector for tachometer with R/Y wire and suitable tool. R.H. model: same procedure, see fig3.
