EF & EC-22prose procedureL.H. model and R.H. model have different check connector locations for tachometer connection. A/T idle speed measured in 'N' position. M/T and A/T both 850 ± 50 rpm.

If idle speed is not within specific value, refer to IDLE SPEED/IGNITION TIMING/IDLE MIXTURE RATIO INSPECTION.
METHOD A (With pulse type tachometer)

- 1Disconnect check connector for tachometer.L.H. model: use check connector for tachometer with R/Y wire and suitable tool. R.H. model: same procedure, see fig3.
