OIL PAN
EM-7prose procedureRemoval
- 1Drain engine oil.
- 2Remove front stabilizer bar.
- 3Loosen front engine mounting nuts. (Do not loosen completely.)
- 4Lift up engine slightly using engine slingers.
- 5Remove oil pan.(1) Insert Tool between cylinder block and oil pan.(2) Slide Tool by tapping its side with a hammer, and remove oil pan.
(1) Insert Tool between cylinder block and oil pan.
WARNING
Do not insert Tool into oil pump or rear oil seal retainer portion, or aluminum mating face will be damaged.
WARNING
Do not insert screwdriver, or oil pan flange will be deformed.
(2) Slide Tool by tapping its side with a hammer, and remove oil pan.
Installation
- 1Before installing oil pan, remove all traces of liquid gasket from mating surface using a scraper.Also remove traces of liquid gasket from mating surface of cylinder block.
SEM350B - 2Apply liquid gasket to oil pump gasket and rear oil seal retainer gasket.

Also remove traces of liquid gasket from mating surface of cylinder block.
