TIMING BELT

EM-10prose procedure

Removal

  1. 1
    Drain engine coolant from radiator.
    Be careful not to spill coolant on drive belts.

    Remove air duct, upper radiator hose, radiator shroud and under cover.
  3. 3
    Remove the following belts: ● Power steering pump drive belt ● Compressor drive belt ● Alternator drive belt
  4. 4
    Remove water pump pulley, fan and fan coupling.
  5. 5
    Remove crank angle sensor.
    Put aligning mark on crank angle sensor and timing belt cover.

    Remove front upper timing belt cover.

    Remove all spark plugs.
  8. 8
    Set No. 1 piston at T.D.C. on its compression stroke.

    Remove crankshaft pulley.
  10. 10
    Remove front lower timing belt cover.
  11. 11
    Loosen timing belt tensioner nut, turn tensioner, then remove timing belt.
