TROUBLE DIAGNOSES — Diagnostic Procedure 4 (Cont'd) — Push control unit / dual-pressure switch / fan switch checks

HA-78flowchart

Pin 12 = LG (Light Green); pin 28 = LG/R; pin 23 = B (Black ground). Dual-pressure switch passes when refrigerant is in normal range — if it fails closed, refrigerant pressure must be checked first.

(From previous page — branch D)
2
[L] CHECK PUSH CONTROL UNIT. Does continuity exist between push control unit terminals No. 12 and No. 13?
N.G.
Replace control amp. built-in push control unit.
O.K.
3
Disconnect dual-pressure switch.
4
[M] Check circuit continuity between dual-pressure switch harness terminal No. 12 and push control unit harness terminal No. 12.
O.K.
5
[N] CHECK DUAL-PRESSURE SWITCH. Does continuity exist between dual-pressure switch terminals?
N.G.
CHECK REFRIGERANT. Connect manifold gauge, then check system pressure. (Refer to A/C PERFORMANCE TEST.)
O.K.
6
Disconnect fan switch harness connector.
7
[O] Check circuit continuity between dual-pressure switch harness terminal No. 28 and fan switch harness terminal No. 28.
O.K.
8
[P] CHECK BODY GROUND CIRCUIT FOR FAN SWITCH. Does continuity exist between fan switch harness terminal No. 23 and body ground?
O.K.
9
CHECK FAN SWITCH (Refer to Electrical Components Inspection.)
N.G.
10
Replace fan switch.
