Automatic transmission models: restrict to below 50 km/h (30 MPH) and less than 65 km (40 miles) when towing with four wheels on ground or front wheels raised. Remove propeller shaft if greater speed/distance required. Front towing hook location differs between Europe and non-Europe models.

TOWING AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION MODEL WITH FOUR WHEELS ON GROUND OR TOWING WITH FRONT WHEELS RAISED (With rear wheels on ground)

Observe the following restricted towing speeds and distances.
SpeedAutomatic transmission model with four wheels on ground or towing with front wheels raised (with rear wheels on ground)
Below 50 km/h (30 MPH)
DistanceAutomatic transmission model with four wheels on ground or towing with front wheels raised (with rear wheels on ground)
Less than 65 km (40 miles)
If the speed or distance must necessarily be greater, remove the propeller shaft beforehand to prevent damage to the transmission.

TOWING POINT

Always pull the cable straight out from the vehicle. Never pull on the hook at a sideways angle.
