3. Cruise test
Check all items listed in Parts 1 through 3.
Throttle position can be controlled by voltage across terminals 11 and 15 of A/T control unit.
Cruise test — Part 1

Warm up engine until engine oil and A.T.F. reach operating temperature after vehicle has been driven approx. 10 minutes. A.T.F. operating temperature: 50 - 80°C (122 - 176°F)

Park vehicle on flat surface.

Set overdrive switch in "ON" position.

Move selector lever to "P" range.

Move selector lever to "D" range.

Accelerate vehicle by constantly depressing accelerator pedal halfway.

Does vehicle start from D1?
No
Go to Diagnostic Procedure 8.
